Now I have to admit I don’t know much about this, but since I just received a notice from the Auburn Alumni Association about them, I thought I’d pass the information along.
Apparently, there’s a newly-designed Auburn car tag for the state of Alabama that now features six characters. (Presumably the previous tags had less. I mean, I’m thinking it wasn’t more: e.g., ILUVAUVRYMUCH).
Based on the picture, the new tags feature the familiar AU logo, framed by orange and blue stripes (blue along the top, orange at the bottom). According to the school website, purchase of the tags helps fund freshmen scholarships. The program has already raised an impressive $15 million.
The new tag costs $50 above the regular tag fee, though there is no additional cost for personalizing the car tag. The new Auburn car tag can be ordered in the state of Alabama at your local license office.
Auburn tags are also available in several other states, including Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee . For more information, visit Auburn.edu/communications_marketing/cartags. Or, simply click … Here.
